Everyone does their own thing
Sales tries one tool, marketing another, IT blocks both. Knowledge is created everywhere and stays nowhere.
CAIO on demand · Support for management and the leadership team
Strategy, priorities, implementation. No new hire.
You want to move AI forward in your company, but nobody owns it and understands it. A Chief AI Officer on demand takes on this role for a limited time: assessing where you stand, setting priorities with you, supporting implementation with your teams and putting the rules in place. Until the change holds in daily work and your company can carry it alone.
An interim Chief AI Officer: understand first, then set priorities, then build with the teams. With the goal from day one that your company can do it alone.
What you get
Six tasks that otherwise fall between management, IT and the business units.
Where is time being lost, who already uses what, where does which data sit? In two to three weeks, an honest picture you can rely on over gut feeling.
Which three processes come first, what waits, what never happens. A one-page plan you can stand behind in front of your leadership team and advisory board.
Assistants, agents and automations are built with the employees who will use them later. No outside project dropped on them.
AI policy, approval points, training records under Art. 4. So data protection and the works council are on board.
Which platform, which model, which contract. Independent advice, with an eye on cost per run and data protection.
In the end the knowledge stays in-house: an owner from your own ranks, multipliers in the teams, documented processes.
Sound familiar?
Companies of this size rarely have someone who understands AI and is also allowed to decide. So one of three things happens.
Sales tries one tool, marketing another, IT blocks both. Knowledge is created everywhere and stays nowhere.
A Chief AI Officer is to be hired. The search drags on, the profile is unclear and nobody knows whether the role is needed long term.
A service provider delivers assistants. When something changes, you are waiting for them again.
You bring your challenges.
We work on them live.
No off-the-shelf examples: in the course you create prompts, assistants and agents for exactly the tasks that cost your company time.
Afterwards
The leadership team knows the plan: three processes first, clear rules, a budget that matches the priorities.
The teams build their own assistants and know who to turn to.
Data protection, IT and the works council have written answers before they need to ask.
After six to twelve months it runs without us. That is the goal. Extending the contract is not.
How the support works
The process below is the standard case. We agree on scope and rhythm in the intro call.
Conversations with management, departments and IT. Outcome: where we stand, what is already running, where time is lost. Plus the one-page plan with timeline.
A fixed day per week or month, on site or remote: preparing decisions, implementing with the teams, updating rules, settling vendor questions. Reachable between those days.
Once the processes are established in the company, we hand over to an owner. With documented topics and multipliers in the teams. On request, sessions on demand afterwards.
We talk about where you stand and who makes AI decisions today. Often a leadership workshop is enough. Sometimes it takes more. Either way, we will tell you.

Your trainer
Florian Pagel has advised companies on digital projects for more than 30 years, first in marketing for brands such as Google, Nike and Montblanc, today on introducing AI in mid-sized businesses and large corporations. With Hello White Parrot he builds assistants, agents and automations together with teams and trains around 200 people a year, always on their own tasks.
He created the AI programme unlocktomorrow.ai and founded the AI coaching academy Solo-Helden for solo self-employed professionals. He is also the author of “Der KI-Knigge: Authentisch trifft Agentisch” (with Vivian Hecker, BoD 2026): how we stay human when the machine works alongside us. His principle in both roles: results you can apply right away.
Price
Billed by fixed days per month, with no minimum term beyond the first quarter. The assessment and one-page plan are the first step and can be booked on their own. Courses and workshops for your teams are added when they are part of the plan.
FAQ
Because it is often unclear whether the role will be needed long term. In most companies with 50 to 300 employees, AI becomes part of the business units and IT after one to two years. An interim CAIO gets you there without creating a position you will no longer need later.
Typically one fixed day per week in the starting phase and one day per month once things are running. In between, reachable for decisions that cannot wait.
IT keeps systems running. Which processes should work with AI first, and which rules apply, is a business question. The two work closely together, yet they are different roles.
A consultancy delivers a concept and leaves. A CAIO on demand stays until implementation holds, shares in decisions and is there when something gets stuck in daily work. And works with the aim of becoming unnecessary.

Yes. The assessment and the first decisions work better on site; after that, a mix of in-person and remote is common.
